Preschool 4 is the class students attend the year before they will start Kindergarten.  Whether this is their first experience in a structured group setting or they have been in a preschool/child care setting for years, P4 is a crucial time for them to grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically.

Our yearly curriculum is Bible based. Each week, the children learn a different Bible lesson and Bible verse. We also do a Bible based activity to go along with it. Our class motto is "kind hands, kind words and kind heart." Our class joins the HTLS family for chapel every Wednesday.

The Scott-Foresman Reading Street is used for our literacy curriculum. Literacy time is designed with individual needs in mind.  Daily development is fostered in phonemic awareness, oral language, listening, motor and cognitive skills.  Math concepts are developed using hands-on activities, daily calendar, and other practical applications of mathematics.  We use large group, small group, and one-on-one teaching platforms throughout the day. Free-choice time involves activities within specific areas including blocks, art, math, science, music and reading.  These activities compliment our theme of the week and are designed to allow for individual learning time.

We also include outdoor play, music, art, library and computer lab in our routine.

5 days (Monday-Friday)

Options for Hours:

8am-3pm (full day)

7am-5:30pm (Morning care and Extended care is offered for students who need to be dropped off early/picked up late)
