First grade is a year of great growth for students. With a strong reading and math curriculum, students are challenged at all levels and learn to listen to whole group instruction as well as to work in small groups on a daily basis.  Students enjoy working at different centers throughout the day and learn to work independently.  High expectations are present in this classroom so that all students can achieve their very best and that is our goal at HTLS.  The Christian faith is integrated daily into our identity and actions.
