4th Grade

   Welcome to Mrs. Lopez’s 4th grade class here at Holy Trinity Lutheran School for the 2024-2025 school year!!  Being the new teacher is very exciting.  I can’t wait to get to know you and your wonderful students.  I taught at Portland Montessori Academy for the last three years.  Before that, I lived in California and worked at Alta Loma School District helping elementary students with reading intervention.  

  I love to travel and sightsee with my husband and two children.  We enjoy visiting national and state parks.  We also enjoy museums and concerts.  

   This year, our class will be studying many things. In Social Studies, we will study our great state of Kentucky and the geography of the United States.  In math, we will build on third grade skills by studying place value, multiplication, division, and fractions.  Our language arts curriculum will include reading and writing using biographies, autobiographies, and informational text.  Our science curriculum will include studying about living things, forces and energy, the moon, and the earth.
