4-Year Old Preschool

Preschool is an exciting time in a young child's life.  It may be their first experience in a group setting.  Their minds and bodies are developing rapidly.  This is a time for discovery, new friends, and new adjustments.  Our 4-year old program includes options for 3 days (Mon., Wed., Fri.) or 5 days.  Our day begins at 8:00am with options of staying until noon, 1pm (Lunch Bunch) or 3pm. Extended Care is also available until 6 pm.
Our day includes literacy activities based on the Scott Foresman Reading Street curriculum and the best in children's literature.  Literacy time is designed with individual needs in mind.  Development is fostered in phonemic awareness, oral language, listening, motor and cognitive skills.  Math concepts are developed using hands-on activities, daily calendar, and other practical applications of mathematics.  Center time (or free choice time) involves planned activities within specific areas including blocks, art, pretend, math, discovery, and reading.  These planned activities complement our topic or theme of the week and are designed to allow for individual learning time.
We also offer outdoor play, music, art and library in our routine.  Our day is full of opportunities for individual time.  We hope you decide to share your child with us!
