It is a planned program of personal movement experiences that both develop the body and foster intellectual and creative growth in harmony with the goals of Christian education. The following units are covered in the PE curriculum but are modified according to the specified age groups and developmental levels. Spatial awareness loco motor movement and skills target games tag games active games throwing/catching rolling/kicking track and field movement patters soccer evasive games manipulative skills creative dance tumbling jump rope heart unit hiking wilderness safety bicycle safety basketball scooter hockey wiffleball juggling Please make sure they are dressed appropriately on the days they have PE. Both socks and tennis shoes are very important, without them they run the risk of having blisters or muscle soreness due to improper support. No open-toed sandals or boots of any kind. Some students change into their tennis shoes right before PE. Students with inappropriate attire will receive a marker.
"Do you know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? "Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I buffet my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize." I Corinthians 9:24-27
